M48A1 Patton Tank
Turret Trainer (de-milled)
From the Museum's Collection

The M48 Patton Tank series was the primary US Tank during the Cold War. Made in large numbers, it was the quintessential US Tank in Europe, the Vietnam War, and beyond until replaced by the M60. It was supplied to numerous Allied countries and used with success by Israel in the Six Day War and Yom Kipper War among other conflicts of the era.

The Museum's turret trainer seems mostly complete, as far as we can tell. The components all appear to be the actual parts or assemblies other than the cannon. The cannon had an actual ring and was de-milled per ATF standards.
No breach block is present.  The "barrel" is double wall thin gauge tubing.

This trainer is definitely the best way to view and understand a turret layout and the roles of crew members.

The overall condition is Very Good
and makes an impressive display.
