WW II British
QF 25Pdr MkII 1943 (de-milled)
Highly Detailed Restoration

The 25pdr was developed in the 1930s and was the primary medium field howitzer for British and Commonwealth countries during WWII, and was used by numerous  countries during the Cold War era. They are still in use by a few countries. The museum's 1943 MkII was totally disassembled for restoration to a like-new appearance. The de-milled gun tube was cosmetically repaired, and a non-functional breech was made with portions from the original de-milled breech.  All markings present on the gun were restored. This howitzer is in every sense of the phrase          "A museum-quality showpiece."
