The 25pdr was developed in the 1930s and was the primary medium field howitzer for British and commonwealth countries during WWII and was used by numerous non/Soviet bloc countries during the Cold War era. They are still in use by a few countries and munitions are currently available from POF.

The museum's  25pdr had a detailed restoration to a like new appearance including a detailed but totally fake breach assembly.
