The RPG-2 Anti-tank Rocket Grenade Launched was developed form the late
WW2 German Panzerfaust (Tank Fist)
It was first issued to Soviet troops in 1954. Widely distributed to Soviet-Bloc countries and their
allies, it was also made in China as the type56 and used by North Vietnam as the B-40. In Vietnam
it was extremely lethal to our M113 APS’s and is responsible for many casualties. The RPG-2 has
been observed in Ukraine.
